The 5-Minute Jam Cake is a very simple dessert perfect for breakfast. It is prepared in a few minutes. You will need few tools and few ingredients.

As for the jam, you can use the flavor you prefer. Additionally, you can customize it based on your tastes: for example, I added chocolate chips to the batter, but if you prefer, you can use chopped nuts.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 oz chocolate (chopped)
  • to taste jam

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Knife

How to Prepare the 5-Minute Jam Cake

  • In a bowl, pour the egg and sugar. Mix with the spoon.

  • Add the sunflower oil and milk. Continue stirring with the spoon to incorporate the ingredients well.

  • Add the flour. Stir until you obtain a smooth, lump-free mixture.

  • Add and incorporate the baking powder as well.

  • Add the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips and mix everything well.

  • Pour the obtained mixture into a previously buttered and floured 8-inch mold. Level it and place a few tablespoons of jam on top. The quantity is to taste.

  • Mix the jam with the tip of a knife to obtain a marbled effect.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F and let it cook for about 30 minutes. Always check the baking based on your oven by doing the toothpick test.

  • Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and if you like, dust with powdered sugar.

  • Enjoy your dessert.
