The mixed vegetables steamed in the pressure cooker, perfect for a healthy and quick side dish, in 10 minutes your vegetables are ready to be eaten or made into a nice cooked vegetable salad or as a base for other preparations.
For cooking the vegetables, we used the Lagostina Irradial model 5 liters, a new generation pot, very easy to use and safe; you can also find it in the same model with 3.5 liters or the large one with 7 liters.

Steps for preparation and cooking of mixed vegetables steamed in the pressure cooker:
Prepare the vegetables:
– wash the potatoes well to remove any dirt, peel the potatoes, you can use a knife or the classic peeler, cut the potatoes in half
– cut off the two ends of the carrots, peel them and rinse well, if they are large cut them in half
– wash the light zucchinis, remove the two ends and if they are long cut them in half otherwise leave them whole
– for the onions, cut off the two ends with a knife and remove the skin, then cut the onions into two parts.
Place the prepared vegetables in a steaming basket, then put 1 cup of water in the pressure cooker and place the basket in the pot.
Close the pot with its lid, check that the valve is closed and turn on the gas to medium-high flame, when the valve rises lower the flame and cook for 8 minutes.
After the time has elapsed, turn off the gas, release the steam and remove the lid, take the basket out of the pot.
Now your vegetables are ready to be eaten, we usually cut them and season with oil, vinegar, and salt.
If you prefer not to cut the vegetables, we recommend continuing to cook for 2 more minutes, because they may not be well cooked, but as a rule, always check the cooking, otherwise put the pot back under pressure and continue cooking.
COOKING WITH MULTICOOKER:
You can also make this recipe with the multicooker, put the water in the basket of the electric pressure cooker, add the basket with the vegetables, put the lid on the pot and close the valve, cook for 8 minutes in STEAM COOKING mode.
