Orange Fudge
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 6 people
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Autumn, Winter

Orange Fudge Ingredients

  • 4 oranges (organic)
  • 4.2 oz sugar
  • 1.8 oz powdered sugar
  • 4.2 oz butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 orange zest
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Orange Fudge Tools

  • Baking pans
  • Mixers

Orange Fudge Steps

  • Cream the butter with the powdered sugar, even with an electric mixer until it becomes soft, then add the granulated sugar and the eggs one at a time.

Add the sifted flour and baking powder, the grated zest of one orange, and the juice of 2 oranges.

  • Pour the obtained mixture into a square mold lined with baking paper, or silicone. I used a springform pan 9.5 x 9.5 inches and place it in a preheated oven at 392°F for 35 minutes.

Meanwhile, squeeze the other 2 oranges. As soon as the cake is ready, remove it from the oven and pour the orange juice over the steaming cake, using a strainer, drenching it all.

Cut it as you like, even with cookie cutters, as we did, thus forming small orange fudges. You can also serve the entire cake; it will be just as popular due to its deliciousness.

  • Serve the dessert cold at the table to your guests.
