Tall and fluffy cake with chocolate chips. A delicious cake perfect for breakfast and snacks.
The simple chocolate chip cake is a delicious cake perfect for the whole family breakfast. It will allow you to start the day with the right energy.
It’s a lemon-scented cake that will win you over at the first taste. If you don’t like lemon, you can use orange. For baking, I used a paper mold like those used for baking panettone, but if you don’t have one, you can use a 6/7 inch pan.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup sunflower seed oil
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 lemon zest
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- as needed chocolate chips (for decoration)

- 1 Spatula
- 1 Mold
How to prepare the tall and fluffy cake with chocolate chips
In a bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Mix with the electric mixer until you get a light and frothy mixture. (The batter should be almost white).
Add the milk and oil. Mix with the electric mixer.
Add the flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt, and the grated zest of an untreated lemon. Mix well, being careful not to create lumps.
Finally, add the chocolate chips. Gently incorporate them into the mixture using a spatula.
Pour the mixture into a paper mold like those used for 1 lb panettone. If you don’t have one, you can use a 6/7 inch pan. If you want to take a look at my mold, you can find it here.
Before baking, add more chocolate chips on the surface according to your taste.
Bake in a hot, static oven at 356°F and let it cook for about 45 minutes. Make sure to check the cooking times according to your oven.
Take it out of the oven, let it cool slightly, and if you like, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
