COFFEE MOUSSE with Praline Hazelnuts, a creamy and delicious spoon dessert made in a few minutes with instant coffee or moka coffee.
I was craving an easy spoon dessert but with a more indulgent touch than usual, so I made this coffee mousse with praline hazelnuts, a fresh and creamy delight, perfect to serve after lunch or dinner.
It’s a quick recipe with no cooking, ready in a few minutes with cream, instant coffee or espresso, sugar, and a touch of vanilla. The mousse is soft, fragrant, and slightly bitter, just how coffee dessert lovers like it. To make it even more irresistible, I added some crispy caramelized hazelnuts on top: the contrast between creamy and crunchy is truly amazing!
You can serve it in single-serve glasses, also suitable for a buffet or a dinner with guests. It’s also ideal for summer because it’s a cold dessert, egg-free, and gelatin-free.

Ingredients
- 1 cup vegetable whipping cream
- 5.3 oz mascarpone
- 2.5 oz powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee
- 2.1 oz hazelnut pieces
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon clarified butter
Steps
In a non-stick pan, place the hazelnuts and granulated sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar caramelizes and coats the hazelnuts.
Add the butter, mix a little and set aside; if it hardens too much, cut it with a knife.
In a bowl, mix the mascarpone with the powdered sugar, then add the coffee and mix well until you get a smooth cream.
Whip the cold cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold it into the mascarpone and coffee cream, moving from bottom to top.
Pour the mousse into glasses or cups alternating with the hazelnut pieces. Put in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Bon appétit
