Chicken with Onions in the Multicooker

Chicken with onions in the multicooker, a tasty recipe that is quick and easy to prepare, perfect for the whole family.

Ingredients for Chicken with Onions in the Multicooker:

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 2 yellow onions
  • 2 tablespoons of capers
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1 clove fresh garlic
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • to taste fine salt

Steps for Preparing and Cooking Chicken with Onions and Capers:

  • Peel the onions by removing the most damaged leaves, then cut them in half and slice them thinly.

    In the basket of the electric pressure cooker, put the extra virgin olive oil, turn on the pot in SAUTÉ mode for 10 minutes, then add the sliced onion, a garlic clove, and the rosemary, cook until the onion turns almost white (about 5 minutes), add the capers and then the chicken, let it brown well by turning it a couple of times, season with salt and deglaze with white wine.

  • When the wine has evaporated, cancel the sauté program and set the PRESSURE program for 20 minutes, place the lid, and close the valve.

    Once the time is up, turn off the pot, turn the valve to release the steam.

    If you prefer more browning, set the pot back to sauté mode to further brown the meat and reduce the liquid that has formed, otherwise you can serve the meat immediately.
