Ingredients for the Nutella Christmas Tree

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 7 oz Nutella®
  • to taste powdered sugar

Tools

  • Parchment Paper
  • Tray
  • Knife
  • Spatula

How to Make the Nutella Christmas Tree

  • To prepare the Nutella Christmas Tree, unroll the first sheet of puff pastry and spread it generously with Nutella, reaching the edges, and overlay a second puff pastry sheet. You can use any type of puff pastry, whether rectangular or round, it makes no difference. Cut the outer shape of the tree, then make a triangle and the rectangular base. Remove the scraps but don’t throw them away.

  • Score to form the branches and twist them to give them a nice shape. From the scraps, make the tree decorations; I made a shooting star and some balls. Attach everything to the tree and transfer it to the baking sheet to bake it.

  • From the scraps, you can also make delicious croissants that you can bake along with the Nutella tree. Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 20-25 minutes, until the tree is nicely golden. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy your meal!

Nutella Christmas Tree Storage

If possible, consume the puff pastry Christmas tree immediately, so it will remain crispy and the Nutella will be soft. However, you can store it for 2 days in a cake dome.
