Ham Omelette Recipe
Start preparing the ham omelettes by cracking the eggs (medium size) in a bowl.
Add one or two tablespoons of milk or unsweetened plant-based drink, salt, and black pepper.Beat the eggs with a whisk or fork, and if you like, add chopped herbs, I used chives.
Melt a knob of butter in the pan or heat some extra virgin olive oil.
Pour the egg mixture into the pan and cook it until the eggs are almost completely set.
Add string cheese and ham on one half of the “frittata,” I used diced ham, but sliced is also fine.
Using a kitchen spatula, fold the omelette and let it brown for a couple more minutes on each side.
Once ready, plate the ham omelette and serve it immediately.

FAQ
Can I make the omelette without milk?
Yes, you can make the omelette without milk. Milk helps to make it creamier, but you can omit it or replace it with water for a lighter version.
Can the omelette be prepared in advance?
The omelette is best when freshly made, but if you want to prepare it in advance, store it in the fridge in an airtight container and reheat it gently in a pan or microwave before serving.
How to prevent the omelette from sticking to the pan?
Use a high-quality non-stick pan and ensure to melt the butter evenly before pouring the egg mixture. Cook over low heat to prevent the omelette from burning or sticking.
