Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 2.8 oz sugar
- 0.2 cups flour
- 1.1 cups whole milk
- 1 lemon (zest)
- 1 package shortcrust pastry (rolled out)
- 1 package smarties

Steps
Harlequin cake
Mix the egg yolks with the sugar in a bowl, working the mixture with a whisk. Incorporate the sifted flour and slowly pour in the milk that you have already heated with the lemon zest. Put the saucepan on the fire and stir continuously until the custard thickens, about 7 minutes will be enough. (image 1)
Line a round baking pan with parchment paper and unroll the shortcrust pastry, place it in the pan. (image 2)
Pour the custard in the center of the shortcrust pastry and fold the edges towards the center, complete by decorating the Harlequin cake with the hearts cut out previously.
Bake at 356°F for 30 minutes.
