Storage

The baked Caprese can be stored in the fridge for two days. I recommend reheating them in the oven before consuming.

Advice

If you wish, you can prepare the tomatoes in advance. After hollowing them out, season with a pinch of salt and let them dry on a clean cloth or paper towel. This way they will lose some of their moisture.

Instead of cherry tomatoes, you can also use Piccadilly tomatoes, but in this case, I recommend using slightly larger mozzarella.

To add a touch of freshness, you can finish with fresh basil leaves.
