Ingredients for Cocoa Praline Hazelnuts

  • 5.3 oz whole peeled hazelnuts
  • 4.2 oz sugar
  • 3.4 tbsp water
  • Half teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder

You will need

  • 1 Pan

Preparing Cocoa Praline Hazelnuts

Place the hazelnuts, water, sugar, and cocoa in the pan and mix with a wooden spoon to combine everything.

Turn on the stove to low heat, place the pan over the heat, and start stirring continuously. After about a couple of minutes, the sugar will have completely dissolved.

Soon after, the sugar begins to caramelize and stick to the hazelnuts, so continue stirring with the wooden spoon. When the sugar has well adhered, transfer the cocoa praline hazelnuts onto a sheet of parchment paper to cool, keeping them well spaced apart. They are delicious and indulgent!

Storage

The praline hazelnuts should be stored in a glass jar.
