The chocolate flan patissier is a true creamy and chocolatey treat!
It is a variant of the classic French flan patissier that you can already find on the blog, and I leave you the recipe just below.
The flan patissier or parisien is a kind of tart with a shortcrust pastry shell but also puff pastry that contains a creamy mixture
The flan is also called a flan which in a savory version is often prepared with vegetables such as pumpkin, potato, zucchini, and more.

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE CHOCOLATE FLAN PATISSIER RECIPE
in a saucepan, I put the milk with the chocolate and at a low flame, I let the dark chocolate melt.
In a bowl, I beat the eggs with sugar and cornstarch (or maizena).
I line the mold with parchment paper and place the shortcrust pastry covering also part of the outer circle edges, and with the tines of the fork, I make some holes on the bottom of the cake pan.
Then I pour the chocolate mixture into this pastry shell and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) cooking for 40/45 minutes or until when inserting a skewer or a small knife into the mixture, it comes out dry!
I turn off and let it cool perfectly, I would say hours not minutes!
After the cooling time has elapsed, we are ready to taste the chocolate flan patissier, not before adding some dark chocolate shavings on top!
Enjoy your meal! Annalisa
