Ingredients
- 1.1 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika (or spicy)
- 1 clove garlic
- cumin seeds
- oregano
- thyme
- 1 tbsp honey
- breadcrumbs
- vegetable oil
- salt
- pepper
Tools
- Baking sheet
- Bowl
- Cutting board
Preparation
Finely chop the garlic (you can also use garlic powder) along with the herbs, pepper, and cumin.
Combine everything with the paprika and mix. Adjust the quantities and proportions to your taste.
Carefully clean the chicken wings, removing any remaining feathers.
Place them in a glass bowl, coat them with a tablespoon or two of oil, season with the spice mix, and add the honey.
Mix everything with your hands so that the meat is coated with the flavors. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let marinate in the refrigerator for an hour or two.
After the time has passed, take the wings and coat them one by one in breadcrumbs. Arrange them on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brushed with a little oil.
Place the chicken wings in a fan oven at 356°F (or static at 374-392°F), and cook them for 30-35 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking. They should be golden on the surface.
Once ready, transfer the baked chicken wings to a serving plate, salt them, and serve hot, accompanied by barbecue sauce, mayonnaise, or mustard!
Tips and Notes
You can customize the spice seasoning as you like, depending on the level of spiciness you prefer. For convenience, you can use a ready-made barbecue mix.
You can use peanut oil, sesame oil, or olive oil.
You can use wildflower honey or acacia honey.
If you bought whole chicken wings, I recommend separating them so they season and cook more evenly.
