Caramelized Pears with Red Wine

Caramelized Pears with Red Wine are a delightful dessert to sweetly conclude a dinner. The spices and red wine leave a pleasant taste on the palate. They can be served accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of lightly sweetened whipped cream. If you want to prepare them in advance, they can be kept in the fridge and reheated when needed. Try making them with me!

  • Gently turn them occasionally, and after 1 hour, turn off the heat. Remove the pears from the pan and discard the lemon peel and cloves. Return the pan to the heat and reduce the sauce a bit more, which will be drizzled over the pears with a spoon. Serve the caramelized pears warm.
