A truly easy and quick dessert to prepare, perfect for a quick snack or a delicious end to a meal. All you need is a roll of puff pastry, some ricotta, simple canned peaches, a few amaretti, and you’re done. And don’t forget the chocolate chips!

This tart is perfect to be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream. In short, the perfect Sunday dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry (round)
  • 7 oz ricotta
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet vanillin
  • 9 oz canned peaches
  • 1.8 oz amaretti
  • to taste dark chocolate chips

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 356°F.

    Drain the canned peaches and cut them into cubes.

    Place the amaretti in a bag and crush them coarsely.

    In a bowl, mix the ricotta with the sugar and vanillin until a cream is obtained.

  • Unroll the puff pastry and place it in a round baking dish.

    Fold the edges inwards and prick the base with the tines of a fork.

  • Pour the ricotta and level it with the back of a spoon or a spatula.

    Add the canned peaches, crumbled amaretti, and sprinkle a generous handful of dark chocolate chips.

  • Bake for about 15/20 minutes until golden brown.

    Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.

    Enjoy your snack.

Storage and tips …

Store covered with a cake dome.

Consume within 2 days.

You can replace the puff pastry with shortcrust pastry.
