How to Prepare Homemade Snacks for Kids

  • In a bowl, place the egg and sugar. Mix with a fork.

  • Add the milk and continue mixing.

  • Add the flour and baking powder. Mix with the fork being careful not to create lumps. If you like, you can add a few drops of lemon flavoring.

  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Using a spoon, take small portions of the mixture (about 2 tablespoons) and place them on the tray. Space the snacks apart as the mixture will spread.

  • Bake in a preheated, static oven at 356°F (180°C) and let them cook for about 7/8 minutes. Please check the baking time according to your oven.

  • Remove from the oven and, if you want to be more precise, cut the snacks with a cookie cutter to have discs of the same size.

  • Spread Nutella on all the discs, then join them.

  • If you like, using a toothpick you can add more Nutella on the surface of the snacks to create stripes.

  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
