Yogurt and Jam Roll: an easy and quick dessert to prepare. Perfect for breakfast and snack time.
The yogurt and jam roll is a fresh and light dessert: it contains neither oil nor butter. It is refreshing since it should be stored in the refrigerator, making it pleasant to enjoy even during the summer season.
For the filling, I used Greek yogurt and ricotta. I used cherry jam, but you can fill it according to your preferences.
Let’s see right away how to prepare the yogurt and jam roll.

How to prepare the yogurt and jam roll
Place the eggs and sugar in a bowl. Mix with the electric mixer until you get a fluffy and frothy mixture. It will take about 5 minutes.
Add the flour and baking powder. Mix with the electric mixer.
Pour the obtained mixture into a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. I used a 17.7×13.8 inch pan.
Level and bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F. Let it cook for about 10/12 minutes. Please check the cooking times based on your oven.
Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Put the ricotta and Greek yogurt in a bowl. (If desired, you can also add sugar). Mix with the spoon to obtain a smooth cream.
Remove the roll from the oven and cover it with a sheet of parchment paper. Flip it and remove the parchment paper used during baking.
Spread the sponge cake with the yogurt and ricotta cream. Add the jam and spread it. Use the parchment paper to roll it up firmly.
Let the roll rest in the refrigerator until it is time to serve. It will take about an hour.
After an hour, remove the parchment paper and transfer the dessert onto a serving plate. If you like, dust with powdered sugar.
