SUPER SOFT and QUICK BEACH BUNS without Yeast

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast for savory preparations
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Steps

  • Pour the flour into a bowl, add the yeast, water, oil, and a pinch of salt, knead well.

  • Move the dough onto the work surface and work it a bit, then roll it out and cut 5 buns with a 2.75-inch cutter.

  • Place them in the fryer basket, oil them, and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning them over, or in a pan or oven at 350°F for about 15 minutes.

  • Once cooked, cut them in half and fill them as you wish, great with salami, provolone, and arugula as I did.

In an airtight container, even for 1-2 days
They can be prepared in advance and slightly warmed (but they are also excellent cold)
Ideal for freezing, better without filling (just 1 minute in the fryer or pan afterward)
