Apple Fritters

Apple fritters, kudos to those who can resist. Quick to prepare, whether enriched with salami, cod, cheese, or even artichokes for savory varieties. My favorite fritters are sweet, enriched with chocolate, raisins, and especially apples. Fantastic invention, apples, they pair with any food, sweet or savory. A golden, crunchy sweet temptation with a soft apple-flavored heart. My apple fritters with added beer are even more crumbly, tastier, ideal during this carnival season, a festival dedicated to little ones (and not only, I add). To succeed with fried carnival desserts, the secret lies in the frying. Lard and butter are not suitable as they burn quickly. The ideal oils for frying are olive or peanut oil, as they withstand higher temperatures better. Do not use pans, but tall pots, and there must be plenty of oil.

My name is Pina, and my passion is food and cooking in general. On the blog, I focus on regional dishes like those from my birthplace, Sicily. I also feature dishes from Lazio, the region that has hosted me for over 40 years, but in general, I cover all Italian regions. Traveling and exploring is my second passion, so I couldn't leave out dishes from around the "World" on my blog. My blog is divided into simple and essential sections like appetizers, first courses, main courses, side dishes, bread and leavened products, jams and preserves, wines and wineries, and of course, travels. Desserts are included, and finally, there is a dedicated corner for gluten-free options. Easy recipes, explained step by step and always updated.
