Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry (rectangular)
- 4 tablespoons Nutella®
- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- to taste powdered sugar (for decorating)
Tools
- Wheel pastry cutter
- Brush
- Molds star-shaped
Steps
First, preheat the oven to 356 Fahrenheit.
Unroll the sheets of puff pastry and overlap them. With a knife, cut out the shape of a tree as shown in the photo.
Place the first sheet on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and spread the Nutella, being careful to leave a one-centimeter border free.
Sprinkle the shredded coconut and cover the tree with the second sheet.
Using a knife or a pastry cutter, create the branches and twist them on themselves.
With the leftover pastry, cut out stars. Distribute them as desired on the tree and brush with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with brown sugar, bake, and cook for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool. Transfer your puff pastry tree with coconut and Nutella to a tray, keeping the parchment paper used for baking, and dust generously with powdered sugar.
