Air Fryer Roasted Carrots

Air fryer roasted carrots are a simple yet very tasty side dish. They are quick to make and loved by both adults and children.

I must say that the air fryer has solved many problems for me in the past year, because I need to eat cooked vegetables and simply steaming or boiling them has become tiresome. I love oven-cooked vegetables, they are tastier and more delicious, but turning on the oven for small quantities always bothered me. I’ve solved this with the air fryer; its basket is smaller than a traditional oven, heats up in minutes, and cooks small portions quickly.

So, I prepare the few vegetables allowed to me in the air fryer due to the condition that, since last year, has been a real nuisance!

Ingredients for Air Fryer Roasted Carrots

  • 6 carrots
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 sprig sage
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Preparation of Air Fryer Roasted Carrots

  • Peel and wash the carrots, then dry them thoroughly.

    Meanwhile, preheat the air fryer with the appropriate program. Mine runs at 401°F for 4 minutes.

  • Put the carrots in a bowl with a tablespoon of oil and the selected herbs. I chose sage and rosemary, but thyme and fresh oregano are also very good.

    Mix carefully and transfer the carrots to the parchment paper tray for air fryer cooking.

  • Set the temperature to 392°F and the cooking time to 12 minutes. Place the carrots inside the air fryer basket and press start. Halfway through cooking, stir the carrots for more even cooking. The Shake Reminder function will help you with this step by reminding you at the right time.

  • Serve the carrots hot.
