Potatoes Sicilian styled, a simple yet very rich side dish also known as potatoes alla siracusana. The name ‘styled’ conveys the concept better: A simple dish of potatoes made more appetizing enriched with olives, onions, and capers. Let’s go to Sicily, where even a simple side dish of potatoes becomes a super dish. The sugar and vinegar reveal it’s sweet and sour, a characteristic of many Sicilian dishes, also found in Caponata. You will find this recipe in the hot side dishes category, but in reality, this dish is equally delicious served cold, thanks to its sweet and sour flavor. On my blog.giallozafferano.itvaipinacucina, there will be other typical Sicilian recipes and more, including fish recipes that go well with Sicilian styled potatoes.
