Storage, Tips, and Variations
If not consumed on the same day, store the cake in the refrigerator or in a cool place, in a closed container.
For finishing, you can use the jam you prefer, the most suitable ones are apricot jam and orange marmalade.
If you want the cake to be a bit taller, use a 9-inch pan.
You can flavor the dough with orange zest or vanilla essence.
If you are gluten intolerant, use potato starch instead of flour. The leavening agent is not essential, but you can use a gluten-free one if you prefer.
