Neapolitan Fried Viennese Sandwiches
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very cheap
  • Rest time: 3 Hours
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 Pieces
  • Cooking methods: Stove, Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 tsp fresh yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 8 pure pork sausages, cooked
  • 9 oz potato chips, fried, bagged

Steps

  • Dissolve the yeast in the water, pour the flour into a bowl, add the water, mix then add the salt.

  • Knead well then let it rest until it doubles in size.

  • Once risen, divide the dough into 4 parts, shape them into elongated rolls and heat the oil in a large pot.

  • Cook the rolls turning them until they become golden.

  • Cook the sausages as usual, I used the air fryer at 350°F for about 7-8 minutes turning them, the pan is also perfect.

  • For convenience and lack of time, I used frozen bagged chips, so I immersed them in the already hot oil of the rolls.

  • Of course, you can use fresh potatoes, cut them into sticks, and fry them.

  • When the rolls are a bit warm, cut them and fill them with sausages and chips and serve immediately.

    Bon appétit
