- 1 savoy cabbage
- 3 tablespoons wildflower honey
- 1 lemon (untreated)
- 2 leaves sage
- 1 leaf bay
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- to taste extra virgin olive oil

PREPARATION FOR ROASTED SAVOY CABBAGE SLICES RECIPE
I remove the tougher outer leaves of the savoy cabbage.
Then I slice portions about 0.8 inches thick and clean them, trying not to break the ring of leaves, washing and patting them dry with great care.
I line a baking sheet with parchment paper that can hold the large cabbage slices.
In a bowl, I mix about 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, the zest, and the filtered juice of the lemon, and the wildflower honey.
I mix very well and sprinkle the cabbage slices with this cream, even better if I drizzle it using a food brush.
I bake at 392°F for about 20 minutes, then remove the baking sheet and sprinkle the cabbage slices with a sage pesto and some pieces of bay leaf.
I also add a drizzle of oil and put it back in the oven for another 10/15 minutes or until the cabbage is well browned and tender.
All that’s left is to serve it at the table to accompany chicken scallops, a green pepper steak, a very simple roasted or boiled fish!
