Mint and chocolate mousse, a delicious and refreshing spoon dessert, perfect to enjoy as a dessert on summer evenings or when you crave something cool and tasty. It can also be used to fill cakes or decorate muffins or cupcakes.
The recipe is really simple and can be made in ten minutes or even less: just enough time to whip the cream, add the mascarpone and the mint syrup. Three simple ingredients combined with streaks of melted dark chocolate, really make it irresistible.

- 8.8 oz mascarpone
- 7 oz whipping cream (cold from the fridge – I used oplà cream which is already sweetened)
- 1 glass mint syrup
- as needed food coloring (green)
- dark chocolate

Steps
First, whip the cream: it should be nice and cold from the fridge.
Add the mascarpone and mix well until a smooth, lump-free mixture is obtained.
and while continuing to whip, also add the mint syrup. To give it a more pronounced color, add a few drops of green food coloring. Add 1 – 2 drops at a time and put in the refrigerator.
Break the chocolate and melt it, in a bain-marie or microwave. Once melted, insert it while still warm into a piping bag and distribute it as desired inside the cups, creating patterns.
Take the mint mousse, put it in a piping bag and fill the cups, finish with more melted chocolate. If you want, you can also add chocolate chips. Keep in the refrigerator for at least half an hour before serving. Here is the Mint and chocolate mousse ready. Enjoy your meal!

– Cream: I used already sweetened whipping cream. If you use classic whipping cream, add enough sugar to achieve the desired sweetness.
– Chocolate: I melted the dark chocolate and added it to the mousse, decorating the cup and creating streaks on the surface. Of course, putting the mousse in the fridge makes the chocolate harden. If you prefer, you can use a chocolate topping like this: it will remain softer. Instead, I like to feel the chocolate under my teeth.
