Ingredients for Air Fryer Breaded Shrimp

  • 1.2 lbs peeled shrimp, frozen (weight to be considered after thawing)
  • Zest of one lime or lemon (untreated)
  • 5 tbsps herbed breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste black pepper (freshly ground)

Steps to Prepare Air Fryer Breaded Shrimp

  • First, completely thaw the shrimp, then rinse them under running water with a colander. Place them in the bowl and pat them dry with paper towels.

  • Add the oil and grated lime (or lemon) zest to the shrimp and mix well with the two spoons to ensure they are well coated with oil. Then add the herbed breadcrumbs and mix again with the spoons until they are all covered.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 356°F (180°C) and set the cooking time for 20 minutes.

  • Once the air fryer is ready, remove the basket, put the perforated parchment paper inside, and distribute the breaded shrimp evenly. Insert the basket and cook, stirring halfway through with a spoon.

  • Once cooked, you can keep the shrimp warm in the air fryer and serve them at the right moment. I assure you, they will be a hit!

Delicious Variations!

To make these breaded shrimp even more delicious, add 1 tablespoon of grated pecorino cheese to the herbed breadcrumbs. You’ll find them irresistibly tasty!
