Today’s recipe is sweet and a great way to use leftovers: apple and panettone crumble.
January comes, the holidays end, but the panettones and pandoros never do!!!!!
A nice easy, quick, and tasty way to “recycle” the wonderful Christmas sweets is to make apple and panettone crumble.
Crumble is usually a sweet preparation made with fruit cooked with sugar and topped with a crumbled dough of flour and butter, which in this case, I replaced with panettone.
Excellent for breakfast with plain yogurt or as a dessert with some ice cream, the crumble will win over your guests and make you look great with its enveloping taste and unmistakable aroma of cooked fruit.
A good dinner with a savory tart, kale gnocchi and scottona bites can end magnificently with an apple and panettone or pandoro crumble.
Let’s see together, step by step, how to make this recipe.

Below you will find links to some tools used to make the recipe
- 1 Knife
- 1 Small Bowl
- 1 Citrus Juicer
- 1 Cutting Board
- 1 Pan
- 1 Wooden Spoon
- 4 Terrines
Let’s Start!
Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces, place them in a bowl and sprinkle with the juice of half a small lemon, then cut the panettone into small pieces and place it in another small bowl.
Sprinkle the apples with sugar and mix. Take a non-stick pan, heat it slightly and add the apples with the butter and let cook over medium-low heat for about five to six minutes.
When the apples are cooked, take the panettone cubes and put half of them in the pan and cook with the fruit for a couple of minutes.
Butter the terrines and pour a couple of tablespoons of cooked mixture into each, then top with the reserved panettone pieces and sprinkle with some granulated sugar on top.
Bake in a preheated oven at a temperature of 350°F for 6/7 minutes, the last minute use the grill function. Let cool slightly and your apple and panettone crumbles are ready to be enjoyed but first take a photo and post it on social media tagging me (una ricca che pasticcia instagram and facebook) and let me know if you’ll eat it like that or with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
