Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 package baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup water (or milk)
- as needed butter (for the pan)
- as needed Nutella®
- as needed powdered sugar
Tools
- 1 Stand Mixer
- 1 Work Surface
- 1 Rolling Pin
- 1 Cookie Cutter
- 1 Skillet
Steps
First, prepare the dough: put the flour, sugar, vanilla extract, and baking powder into the stand mixer’s bowl and start mixing, then gradually add the oil and water. Continue mixing until you get a compact and homogeneous dough.
Lightly flour the work surface and, with the help of a rolling pin, roll it out to about 0.2 inches thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out discs about 3 inches in diameter: I made 22.
After cutting out all the dough, fill half of the discs with 1 teaspoon of Nutella (warm it first in the microwave), then slightly wet the edges with a bit of water and cover with the remaining discs, trying to seal the edges well.
At this point, heat a non-stick skillet with a knob of butter and cook the buns for 4-5 minutes on each side over medium heat, covering with a lid and checking them occasionally, they should be nice and golden.
Dust them with powdered sugar and serve. Here are your Nutella Skillet Buns ready. Enjoy!
Until the next recipe.
Soft and very delicious
