Notes and Variations
You can use only peppers, or add pieces of red onion and bay leaves.
The bacon is optional; if you do not have it or do not like it, you can omit it.
As an alternative to the oven, you can cook the skewers in a pan or on a grill.
If you have time, you can marinate the chicken for an hour, keeping it in the refrigerator.
You can season the meat with thyme, oregano, rosemary, marjoram, or other aromatic herbs to taste.
