Notes and Tips
The cake stays soft for 2-3 days, better in the refrigerator if the weather is particularly hot.
Both nectarines and classic yellow peaches are fine, as long as they are nice and firm, not too ripe. You can cut thicker slices if you want them to be more visible in the batter.
