Ingredients

  • 3 cups peas
  • 5.3 oz cooked ham (diced)
  • 1 white onion (small)
  • 3 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • Half cup vegetable broth

Steps

  • Rinse fresh peas under running water, or defrost frozen ones according to package instructions.

  • In a large pan, heat the extra virgin olive oil over medium heat and lightly sauté the chopped onion.

  • Add the diced ham and brown for a few minutes until they start to become crispy.

  • Add the peas and stir.

  • Deglaze with vegetable broth and cook covered for about 20 minutes.

  • Once cooked, taste and adjust salt if necessary.

  • Our peas with ham are ready.

    Serve hot
