PEA PESTO is a delicious sauce suitable for accompanying meat or fish dishes but also perfect for seasoning pasta.

A real treat for our palate.

You can use either fresh or frozen peas and if there is any left, freeze it in previously sterilized glass jars.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 red onion
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese

Tools

  • Blender
  • Pan large

Steps

  • In a pan, heat the extra virgin olive oil.

    Add the chopped onion and let it brown.

  • Add the fresh or frozen peas, season with salt, stir, and cook with the lid on for about 20 minutes.

  • Once cooked, let them cool.

  • Put the peas in a blender, add the cream cheese, and blend coarsely.

  • Our pea pesto is ready.

    If you use it to season pasta, dilute it first with a little cooking water.

Storage and tips …

Store in the fridge in a jar with a lid preferably with an airtight seal.

Consume within 2 days.
