SOFT COLOMBA with NUTELLA, a soft Easter dessert easy to prepare, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Delicious soft colomba with nutella, a very soft leavened dessert perfect for breakfast with a cup of milk or as a snack with a cup of coffee, soft and indulgent.
The recipe for the soft colomba with nutella is very simple, I made it using the leftover starter from casatielli, very soft and indulgent, also great with jam or pistachio cream.
Follow me in the kitchen today, there’s soft colomba with nutella.
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very economical
- Rest time: 4 Hours 30 Minutes
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: 6-8
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 3/4 tsp fresh yeast
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch vanillin
- Nutella®
- sprinkles
- orange zest
- 5 tbsps butter
Steps
Mine was prepared using a starter discard, so it resembles bread more, very fragrant and soft but I’m leaving you the classic brioche dough recipe.
Dissolve the yeast in the milk.
Pour the flour into a bowl, add the sugar, orange zest, and vanillin, mix, then add the egg and butter.
Add the milk and mix, start kneading, then finally add a pinch of salt.
Form a ball and let it rest until doubled, about 3-4 hours.
After rising, divide the dough into two pieces, one larger than the other, stretch with your hands to form a sort of rectangle, fill with nutella and roll up.
Place the larger roll in the mold, then put the smaller one on top and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
After resting, cover with colored sprinkles and preheat the oven to 350°F.
Bake for about 25 minutes.
Bon appétit
