If you are looking for an appetizer that is easy and quick to prepare and above all delicious, you absolutely cannot miss stuffed figs, beautiful to look at, but above all tasty to eat.
Sweet and fleshy, figs are good to enjoy when freshly picked, but if accompanied by other tasty ingredients they become a delicacy that will enrich any dish.
With their soft and juicy flesh and sweet flavor, they are great eaten as is but also lend themselves very well to recipe preparation, both sweet and savory.
This is exactly what you will notice when tasting this recipe: stuffed with prosciutto and cheese cream with honey, they become a tasty appetizer with a pleasant sweet-salty contrast.
Our advice is to use black figs, which being sugary and dry allow you to make perfect wedges that are easier to fill.

Steps
First, in a bowl mix the cheese, lemon balm leaves, grated lime zest, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Now wash the figs well and dry them.
Cut them at the top in a cross shape and open them in four, creating a little flower.
“Open them gently without breaking them.”
Now place them on a serving dish, garnish with a dollop of cheese cream and a rolled slice of prosciutto.
Then garnish with more lemon balm leaves, some chopped walnut, and fresh honey.
They are ready to be served to your guests.
Serve at the table.
Enjoy your meal
Advice
It is recommended to consume the stuffed figs immediately.
Instead of walnuts, you can use pecans, almonds, or hazelnuts!
I used Brie cheese, but you can also use gorgonzola or mascarpone or even robiola.
If you can’t find lime, use the zest of an organic lemon.
Honey is optional, the same goes for the lemon balm leaves.
