Today let’s find out how to prepare Salami Roses in three different ways. Perfect for a buffet or an appetizer, they are simple to make and very scenic.
The process is relatively simple for the first two roses and very simple for the third. However, follow the step-by-step photo guide found in the description below, because it’s easier to do than to say.
What you will need are slices of salami, a glass, and a bowl. Easy, right?
Once ready, you can use them to enrich a platter with other cold cuts and cheeses, as I did. The recipe will be on the blog soon.
But now, let’s see together how to prepare the Salami Roses. Prepare the ingredients, and let’s start.
And if you try them, don’t forget to let me know in the comments on my Facebook page HERE. I’ll be waiting.

Ingredients
- 7 oz salami (any type, sliced thinly)
- as needed arugula
Tools
To make Salami Roses you need:
- 1 Glass
- 1 Small bowl
- 1 Cutting board
Steps
First, prepare the salami and lay the ready slices on a plate.
Take a glass (mine measures 2.36 inches in diameter) and start placing the first slice of salami on the edge, exactly halfway, then continue with two more as shown in the photo.
At this point, start another round, placing the fourth slice overlapping the ones below and continue the same way with the other two.
Do another round, proceeding the same way as before. In total, I made 3 rounds for a total of 9 slices of salami, then very gently turn the glass upside down, place it on a surface, and slowly slide the salami out.
Now, take a small bowl (mine measures 2.36 inches in diameter), place the salami slices all around, one overlapping halfway with the other, but this time without removing them. In total 5 (or 4, as you wish).
Then, take a slice, fold it in half, and roll it to create the bud.
Take another slice, fold it in half and try to insert it 0.79 inches into the open side of the previously created bud and roll it around, same with another slice; for a total of 3 slices. Check the photos below for a better understanding.
At this point, insert the final bud into the small bowl with the other salami slices and the rose is ready.
The last type is very simple. Arrange 5 slices of salami (or 6, as you prefer) slightly overlapping and fold them like a book, creating a strip.
Roll them starting from one end and the rose is ready.
Once ready, place them on a cutting board and you’ll make a great impression!! Here are the ready Salami Roses. Enjoy your meal!!
See you for the next recipe.
