Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz stale bread
  • 3.5 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 cubes extra-virgin olive oil

Steps

  • Cut the bread into pieces and place them in a salad bowl, add water and let it soften well.

  • Squeeze everything to remove as much water as possible, then add the tomato sauce, oil, salt, and oregano, mix everything together.

  • Pour the mixture onto the baking sheet lined with paper, try to make a thin layer, drizzle with oil again, and bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes.

  • I used the air fryer, so I made several batches, oiled the paper, arranged the mixture, and cooked at 400°F for 15 minutes, then at 350°F for another 10 minutes.

  • Remove from the oven and cut into slices.
