You can store the potato crumble in the fridge well sealed in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days. Alternatively, you can also freeze it. Moreover, you can prepare it in advance by storing it in the fridge before baking it in the oven.

You can also cook it in an air fryer at 356 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20-25 minutes.

You can vary the filling by replacing the ham with other cured meats such as speck, bacon, mortadella, salami, or even with sausage previously crumbled and cooked in a pan. You can also use smoked salmon or tuna for a fish variant; while for a vegetarian variant use your preferred vegetables, such as zucchini, peppers, eggplant, broccoli, asparagus, mushrooms, etc.

You can replace the mozzarella with smoked provolone or creamy cheeses like stracchino, crescenza, or Philadelphia. If you are lactose intolerant, you can substitute it with lactose-free mozzarella.

For a gluten-free version of the Potato Crumble, replace the flour with cornstarch or potato starch.
