Ingredients for air fryer frappe

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (Or low glycemic index flour)
  • 1 egg (XL size)
  • 1 1/2 tsp granulated sugar (Or 1 of erythritol)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • to taste powdered sugar (Or powdered erythritol)

Useful tools to prepare the recipe

  • Air Fryer
  • Pastry Board
  • Rolling Pin
  • Kitchen Scale
  • Cling Film
  • Fluted Pastry Cutter
  • Sieve
  • Bowl

Preparation (super easy!) of air fryer frappe

  • In a glass bowl, pour the flour, baking powder, sugar, and then add the egg on top. Start kneading with your hands, and when it becomes less sticky, transfer it to the lightly floured pastry board.

  • Knead for 4/5 minutes until you get a smooth dough, wrap it in cling film, and let it rest for 10 minutes.

  • Then take the dough out of the cling film and roll it out very thin with the rolling pin, cut diamonds with the fluted pastry cutter.

  • Turn on the air fryer, place the frappe on the basket grill (they should not overlap, do more than one batch), insert the basket and cook at 320°F for 5 minutes, take out and proceed until all ingredients are used up.

  • Once the frappe are completely cold, sprinkle them with powdered sugar using a sieve, and then enjoy, light, crispy, super delicious!

Variations

To decorate the frappe, besides powdered sugar, you can drizzle them with alchermes and add granulated sugar, or you can pour a nice drizzle of white chocolate or milk chocolate on top.
