Sandy Potatoes

SANDY POTATOES are a tasty side dish that is easy and quick to prepare. Just a simple air fryer and they are ready in no time. However, if you prefer, you can also bake them in the oven on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. It’s up to you!

Ingredients

  • 18 oz potatoes (cut into sticks, frozen)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • to taste salt
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste oregano (optional)

Tools

  • Air fryer
  • Bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • Potato peeler
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Steps

  • Let’s take the potatoes, peel them well and cut them into sticks or wedges.

Then soak them in a bowl containing plenty of cold water and let them rest for about 20 minutes.

  • After this time, rinse them, dry them and place them back in the empty bowl.

Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, extra virgin olive oil, breadcrumbs, and mix well with a wooden spoon.

Pour the potatoes into the basket of the air fryer and cook for 30 minutes at 355°F (180°C), turning them carefully halfway through cooking.

  • Alternatively, you can bake the potatoes in the oven for 30 minutes at 355°F (180°C) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

In this case, I recommend covering the potatoes with a sheet of aluminum foil during the first 15 minutes of baking to prevent burning.

    Serve hot or warm.

Storage and Tips

Store covered with aluminum foil and consume within 2/3 days

If you are in a hurry, you can use frozen stick fries without soaking them.
