Chicken Broth with Fresh Pasta

Another recipe from my childhood that I loved and still love to eat today. I like most broths, which as you know, are never missing in Romania, a bit like pasta in Italy, but this one in particular is DELICIOUS! A very simple recipe that we can prepare for these cold days!

Ingredients for Chicken Broth with Fresh Pasta:

  • 1 chicken
  • onion
  • celery
  • carrot
  • peppers
  • salt
  • celeriac
  • parsley
  • 3 cups tomato puree
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup flour

Steps

  • First, boil the chicken for about 30 minutes and remove the foam. In the meantime, wash, clean, and chop the vegetables, and add them. Also, add the tomato puree,

  • Add spices to taste and cook for another 30 minutes. If necessary, add more water. In a bowl, place the flour, egg, a little salt, and knead. You should get a smooth dough

  • then roll it out, fold it, and cut it to the desired size. 5 minutes before the end of cooking

  • add the pasta and the chopped parsley.

  • Enjoy your meal
