  • 3 bananas
  • 1 egg
  • 1.75 cups multigrain flour
  • 6 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.5 oz dark chocolate (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 lemon (juice to prevent bananas from darkening)
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder

FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SWEET BANANA AND CHOCOLATE BREAD RECIPE

  • I grease a loaf pan with the appropriate release agent and proceed to slice a banana lengthwise, drizzling it with lemon juice to prevent it from darkening over time and set it aside.

  • I then cut the other bananas and mash them with a fork to obtain a soft mush.

    To this, I add vegetable oil, plain yogurt, maple syrup, and the whole egg, and leave it aside while I mix the dry ingredients.

    In a bowl, I put the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

  • To the banana and liquid mixture, I gradually add these “dry ingredients,” mixing well to obtain a smooth and homogeneous batter.

    I pour everything into the loaf pan, add the banana sliced in half earlier, and the coarsely chopped dark chocolate.

  • I bake the sweet bread with banana and chopped dark chocolate at 340°F (170°C) for about 50/55 minutes or according to the characteristics of our home oven,
