Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 orange (grated zest)
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 1/3 cup flour (Nutrifree bread flour)
- 1 tbsp baking powder for gluten-free desserts
- 2/3 cup water
- 4 1/4 cups peanut oil
- to taste sugar
Tools
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Hand Mixer
- 1 Pot
- 1 Slotted Spoon
- 1 Plate
Steps
In a bowl, beat the sugar with the egg and the aromas (except for the cinnamon) with an electric mixer.
When the mixture is smooth and fluffy, stop the beaters and add the water.
Mix well at low speed and add the flour.
Blend the mixture, eliminating any lumps while still mixing with the mixer at low speed.
Heat the oil to 338°F.
With the help of two spoons, take some dough and form balls.
Pour into hot oil and cook until golden over medium heat.
Drain with a slotted spoon onto a paper towel.
Immediately roll in sugar flavored with cinnamon.
Continue in the same way until the dough is finished.
