Ingredients for Peach Puff Pastries with Ladyfingers
The quantities I provide are for 8 pastries, each the size of 2 ladyfingers, and the amount of canned peaches is indicative. If you prefer, you can cut the slices thicker.
- 2 rolls puff pastry (rectangular)
- 9 oz peaches, canned
- 16 ladyfingers
- to taste peach jam
Tools
- 1 Pastry wheel pasta cutter
- 1 Baking sheet
Preparation of Peach Puff Pastries with Ladyfingers
Drain the peaches from their preserving syrup and cut them into fairly thick slices.
Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C) in static mode and cut each rectangular puff pastry into 4 parts.
Arrange (as shown in the video) 2 ladyfingers on each puff pastry rectangle and brush them generously with peach syrup.
Cover the ladyfingers with the canned peach slices, slightly overlapping them.
Brush with some peach jam and, if desired, sprinkle with cinnamon powder, then seal the edges by pinching the corners.
Brush the edges of the pastry with milk or a little jam or even the same syrup.
Bake in the center rack of the oven and cook the peach pastries for 15 minutes or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
Remove from the oven, let them cool, and if desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar before enjoying.
How to store Peach Puff Pastries with Ladyfingers
You can store them for 3 days outside the fridge in a tin box or under a glass dome.
