Watermelon Smoothie
- 1 slice watermelon (seedless, discover the Seedless varieties at the bottom of the page)
- 1 cherry tomato (or 1 oz (approx. 2 tbsp) of cucumber)
- 2 tbsp milk kefir (or Greek yogurt or natural plain yogurt – for VEGANS soy yogurt)
- Half lemon juice (or another citrus)
- 1 pinch nutmeg (or chili powder – optional)
- 1 pinch turmeric powder (or fresh + a pinch of black pepper)
For vegans replace kefir with soy yogurt or plant-based milk.
What goes well with watermelon? Melon, peaches, apricots, berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, currants), plums or prunes, barattiere or carosello, figs, strawberries, cherries, bananas, pears, and apples.

For a better result, you can use a Blender, like the Nutribullet.
Blended Watermelon
Cut a slice of watermelon (a seedless variety if using the hand blender, while if using a Blender you can grind the seeds too), then cut it into even cubes.
Pour it into the immersion blender glass (or the Blender glass) along with a peeled cherry tomato (or a little cucumber), lemon juice, and desired spices (turmeric and black pepper, nutmeg), blend.
Then, if desired, add a type of sugar (agave syrup, honey) and kefir (or soy yogurt for vegans).

The smoothie should be enjoyed shortly after preparation, otherwise it can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
