How to Cook Roasted Zucchini in the Air Fryer

  • To prepare the zucchinis in an air fryer, start by washing and drying the zucchinis. Trim them, then divide into two parts (1). Cut each part in half, and divide each half into 3 or 4 parts (2).

    a. cut zucchini into sticks
  • At the end, you should have sticks that are not too thin and as consistent in size as possible (3). Wash the herbs, dry them, and finely chop them with a knife (4).

    b. chop the herbs
  • Place the zucchini sticks in the basket of the air fryer, overlapping them slightly, after lining it with a sheet of air fryer parchment paper. Brush them with one tablespoon of oil (5). Season with a pinch of salt, a grind of pepper, and the chopped herbs (6).

    c. season the zucchini sticks directly in the air fryer
  • Mix them briefly with your hands (7) to evenly distribute the seasonings on all the zucchinis. Then cook the zucchinis in the air fryer at 392°F for 10 minutes (no need to preheat). Halfway through cooking, give the zucchinis a quick stir to ensure uniform cooking. When they are slightly golden, remove them from the fryer (8) and immediately transfer them to a tray.

    d. cook the zucchini sticks in the air fryer
  • You can serve the air fryer cooked zucchinis as a side dish or as a light appetizer, great both hot and at room temperature; they can also be a quick way to cook zucchinis useful for other preparations, such as zucchini omelet, zucchini pesto, or a savory pie with zucchini and sausage.
