Stuffed Bresaola Cones

Those who follow me on this blog know that I love appetizers, and these stuffed bresaola cones are a clever, quick, and very simple recipe to set up the appetizer buffet.

It’s an idea we can prepare in advance and keep covered in the fridge until it’s time to taste our entry finger foods.

The cottage cheese made from skimmed milk and cream is often used for a healthy and balanced diet, and in this easy recipe, it goes perfectly with the savory taste of bresaola.

FOR THE PREPARATION OF STUFFED BRESAOLA CONES RECIPE

  • I present to you a non-recipe, a quick idea to create a new preparation to expand the appetizer buffet offerings for all our lunches/dinners, not just for the holiday season!

  • So …I remove the tougher parts of the fennel and after washing it, I cut it into fairly small cubes.

  • I wash the tomato, remove the inner seeds and the harder core (which I might add to a new dressing) and also cut this vegetable into cubes in a small brunoise.

  • In a bowl, I place the freshly prepared vegetables and also add the cottage cheese, mixing everything well.

  • I also add a little fresh chopped parsley and season the bresaola cone filling with a drizzle of olive oil and some salt and pepper.

  • I stuff each slice of bresaola with a little of this mixture, roll it into a cone, and secure it with a toothpick or another item of choice.

I place each appetizer on a plate or tray and bring it to the table!
    Enjoy! Annalisa
