Steps for Preparing the Strawberry Cake Without Butter, Milk, and Eggs
Wash and hull the strawberries. Set them aside. Grease a baking pan (8 x 10 inches). Inside, sift the flour and baking powder. Add the sugar and mix the dry ingredients. Add salt, oil, and vanilla and work everything with a hand whisk until smooth.
Embed whole strawberries in the batter. Sprinkle coarsely chopped hazelnuts on the surface and bake in a ventilated oven at 356°F for about 35-40 minutes. Still, do the toothpick test.
Prepare the sauce: wash the strawberries and cut them into chunks. Place them in a saucepan with sugar and strained lemon juice. Cook for 5-10 minutes over low heat. Blend with an immersion blender and let cool (you can strain it if you prefer it smoother).
Once the cake is cool, remove it from the mold and serve it with the chilled sauce.
Storage
You can store the cake under a glass dome for a couple of days. Keep the sauce in the fridge.
