Crispy and Light Air Fryer French Fries
These fries are fried but light, thanks to the air fryer. It promotes healthy cooking: with just a few spritzes of oil, you get the same result as fries deep-fried in oil, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. These fries are particularly appetizing and enticing with the optional paprika, making them excellent for a quick appetizer or side dish.
The advantages of air frying are numerous: no need to preheat the oven, cooking is quicker, more economical, and healthier (requires very little fat), fewer pots and pans to clean, and no smoke or odors.
Please note that the cooking temperature and times are generally indicative, as they depend significantly on your type of air fryer. However, all the recipes on my Blog have been strictly tested by me first, so they are well-tested. Nevertheless, I recommend checking the cooking process occasionally to better adapt the time and temperature to your air fryer.
To cook without dirtying your air fryer, I find these Air Fryer Paper Trays, WITHOUT holes, very useful. They are lightweight, so hot air circulates excellently. They are ideal for very oily foods or those that dirty the fryer. They are disposable, oil and water-resistant, non-stick, they don’t burn, and they can also be used in a regular oven. You can find them on Amazon. #adv

Steps for Crispy and Light Air Fryer French Fries
Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes (not too thin), take a bowl and season the potatoes with extra virgin olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and breadcrumbs. Let them marinate for at least 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket, lined with perforated baking paper, spray a little extra virgin olive oil on the surface, and add a bit more breadcrumbs to better gratin the potatoes. My extra virgin olive oil spray with a dispenser is also cold-pressed, so it’s excellent and of quality (see FAQ at the end of the article).
Try to arrange the potatoes in the basket to not overlap them.
Set the air fryer temperature to 356°F and program the cooking for about 25 minutes. At the end of the cooking time, adjust the salt, transfer the potatoes to a serving platter, and serve them hot and crispy.
