Ideal for finishing lunch or dinner during festive days, it’s also perfect for using up leftovers, if there are any. If you want a richer dessert, like a Tiramisu, you can easily use savoiardi instead of ladyfingers.

  • Electric Beaters

Steps for Preparing the Creamy Dessert with Ladyfingers and Nougat

  • First, whip the cream, which must be very cold to whip properly. Add the sugar and mix with the electric beaters until it becomes fluffy. Add the mascarpone and continue to beat until you have a thick mousse.

  • Chop the nougat with a knife. It should be cut coarsely, but without leaving too large pieces that could be bothersome when eaten. Add the nougat to the mascarpone cream and mix to distribute it evenly.

  • In a glass container, make a layer of ladyfingers. Moisten with the cold coffee, cover with half of the mascarpone cream. Sprinkle with unsweetened cocoa powder. Add another layer of coffee-moistened ladyfingers. More cream and place in the fridge for at least a couple of hours. Before serving, dust with plenty of cocoa powder and add some nougat flakes.

Storage

Store the dessert in the refrigerator for two or three days.
